how to make the backround ?
dude ! thats awesome
Thank you Amro, the style is a little different for me so I'm very happy you like it!
Delicate and expressive. The background texture is cool. Nice!
Thanks so much for your comment buddy. This was very much an experimental piece, so it makes me very happy to know you feel it works.
I am in awe...
Nice soft edges in this portrait – well done!
Nice use of Oils( ?) The blending is magnificent - I always find hair to be the biggest problem - hers is devine with some magnificent highlights
Thank you! Yep I agree that hair can be awkward. I always avoid the 'paint every strand' approach and build it up with 3 tonal values, leaving the paint pretty loose and the detail quite soft. Anyway I'd probably get bored very quickly painting one strand at a time!
Such delicate expression in such a warm portrait. The background texture is interesting, too. Nice!
Great portrait expression. Delicate and strong!
THanks again fella though I feel I can't take any of the credit for that, it was really down to the original photographer Cathleen Tarawhiti. Follow the link in the painting's description John, Cathleen has some awesome portrait stock!
gosh! no way!!! its a painting! wow, awsome))))))))))) i love it)
When are you going to do a tutorial on how you go about it? Would be quite kool!
