I've only done one portrait of Brian so far. I think I'm just afraid of the challenge of drawing his hair (help!).
I'm only 15 and I've been drawing for only about two and a half years, but one of those years was drawing anime/manga, but I've completely moved on from that now. My art teachers say I've excelled quite a bit.

But well done! I take my hat off to you. ^_^

Thank you, glad to hear youv'e moved on from Manga to do 'proper' drawings!! :D.
Painting and drawing hair really is as difficult as you make it, I personal go for the overall shape or form, you can get into all sorts of trouble painting it strand by strand. I suggest you look at some 40's or 50' American pin-up pictures, they were masters at painting hair with the minimum of fuss. Hope this helps!!
